Viking Malt A/S awarded with Sustainability Prize

We are honored to announce that Viking Malt A/S has received the Sustainability Prize from Vordingborg Erhvervsforening! This recognition is a testament to our commitment to embedding ESG principles across all our operations.

From the very beginning, our malting plant in Vordingborg was designed with sustainability at its core. By installing energy meters in every process section, we have built one of the world’s most energy-efficient malting plants. Our on-site solar cell system now covers 17% of our electricity needs, helping us reduce CO₂ emissions by 272 tons annually.

In addition, sourcing locally grown barley, leveraging our proximity to Vordingborg Port, and minimizing transportation distances further reduce emissions across our value chain.
