CEO Succession

Kasper Madsen is planning step down as CEO in Viking Malt

Kasper Madsen:

“I have now been the CEO of Viking Malt for almost 9 years. This is much longer than originally planned, but it has been fantastic to lead Viking Malt.

So, the Board and I have reached an agreement. This year will be the year when I begin to focus on other important things in life, and Viking Malt will start looking for the next captain at the helm. I feel the timing is right both for myself and for the company to make a shift. This allows me to start a new chapter in my personal life and gives room for fresh leadership perspectives for the strong and capable team at Viking Malt.

I will continue as CEO and will execute our strategy and solid business plans with energy and passion, since I still love my job, the company, the industry and most of all – my colleagues.

I will officially step down when the Board has found a suitable replacement to take the strong and robust ship of Viking Malt into the future, while I will still advice our main shareholder and Polttimo for some time ahead”.

Pär-Gustaf Relander, Chairman:

“Kasper has now been part of the Viking Malt family for almost 10 years. For me personally, these 10 years feel like an eternity, as so much has changed and happened during this time. It has been an incredible journey with Kasper at the helm. I can honestly say that neither I nor the board want the family to break up, but we also understand that change is inevitable — and none of us are getting any younger… unfortunately.

We will now begin the process of finding Kasper’s successor and we will keep all of you posted on its developments when we have more to say”.
